I am sick of searching for "DIY" "how to" or "plans to make a" and getting 8000 websites SELLING plans. I am not interested in buying plans and I know there are a lot of free ones out there. Please let me know good places to look for free plans to build fun and or interesting stuff. My only thing is I dont want expensive projects. If I can substitute materials and what not to keep it under 100$ max I'm interested... IF you reply God Bless you. (If you dont God Bless you anyway)I'm looking for free how to plans to browse for a new project. Woodworking, hunting, games or general shop.
diynet.com is a single web site with many project ideas. It is based from diy television and HGTV.
You could also go to the library and search the shelves for many project books and magazines.I'm looking for free how to plans to browse for a new project. Woodworking, hunting, games or general shop.
Check different woodworking magazines like "Weekend Woodcrafts." Or Shopnotes, Workbench, etc. Go to your library and see what they have to offer. There are several choices to choose from. Also, next time there is a craft show or Boutique in town, go there and just look around. That's where I got a lot of my ideas. I used to make Flag cases for memorial flags you get at a funeral. I sold several to different funeral homes, and VFW halls. I also use to make and sell kids footstools. they were about 6-8" long and about 5" wide. Just 1X6,with the corners rounded off and routed. The total height was about 5-6" high. The parts that were on the floor were shaped just like a small bare foot. About 6" long. There are all kinds of cool things to make. Good luck
