What bullet is best for small game hunting?

What .22 rifle bullet is the best for small game hunting? hollowpoint? help.What bullet is best for small game hunting?
There is a big difference between head-shooting a squirrel with any kind of 22LR for dinner, and either body hits with HP ammo to ensure rapid kills, or body hits with solids, and watching the beast crawl into a hole to die slowly.

Wary beasts not close enough for head shot accuracy demands, are also far enough away so that the slowed hollowpoint bullet on a lung hit, will not destroy dinner.

Forget using hypervelocity HP's if dinner is involved. But they nearly turn a squirrel inside out if that is the goal.
i hollow point will make a real mess of small quary, if you get a head shot , you lucky , body shot and it wont be worth eating ,

in the uk most of us use air rifles for small quarry , silent , ect

if you asking about best pellet , field target , i use , domed , dont spin of left or right like hollow points ,What bullet is best for small game hunting?
CCI Velocitors are my favorite, but CCI Stingers are a close second. I highly recommend hollowpoints for a quick, clean kill, but if you are making head shots, it doesn't matter.What bullet is best for small game hunting?
Your standard 40gr. leadhead is enough to get the job done. No need for hollowpoints.
* Use hollow-points.*
