Which type of pellet would be more effective in hunting small game?

I am going hunting this coming up weekend and I need ammunition. Which of these two products would be more effective in killing small game.

Beeman Crow-Magnum Pellets-.177 Cal

or

Beeman Silver Arrow-.177 Cal

Thank You for answering and if you need to know what we are hunting specifically, we are hunting Grey Squirrel.Which type of pellet would be more effective in hunting small game?

It's like "J Kirsch" said. Since hunting small game with an air rifle requires precise shot placement(head). You should always use the pellets your rifle prefers(accuracy). %26gt;Air rifles tend to be very particular about the pellet they prefer so generally you need to shoot a variety of high quality pellets to find the best one(s) for your rifle.

Two pellets that do perform well in a wide variety of medium power .177s are the Crosman Premier Domed Light(7.9gr) and the RWS Superdome(8.3gr) %26gt;The Beeman Silver Arrow(11.5gr) is generally much to heavy for the typical 12-16ft-lb .177

Again, while you should always use the pellets your rifle is most accurate with. In "general" domed pellets are the most effective for small game(rabbit, squirrel, etc) while wadcutters are for pest birds.

IMO sporting air rifles perform best when you keep the MV(fps) between 850fps and 950fps. Too slow and the trajectory suffers, too fast and accuracy does. So matching pellet weight to the power of your rifle is generally a good place to start.

Example: the .177 caliber RWS 34(15ft-lb)

Is going to chronograph right around 900fps with RWS Superdomes(8.3gr)

It may not be the perfect pellet for every 34, but it's certainly a place to start.
well one thing is that pellet gun are usually not power-full enuf to take down a gray squirrel but in my opinion i would use a 22. cal rifle using hollow point bulletsWhich type of pellet would be more effective in hunting small game?

a 22 is better but for pellets go with the Beeman Crow-Magnum Pellets-.177 Cal. Cant go wrong with magnums.
You should use whichever pellet your gun shoots more accurately. That's because airguns don't have much energy, especially compared to something like a .22 rim-fire rifle or a shotgun. By using the pellet your gun shoots most accurately you can place the pellet to make the most of the energy your airgun provides.
