Is there a PS2 hunting themed game that uses a GUN controller?
I'm looking for something for my niece who loves the shooter games in Bass Pro Shops where it simulates hunting deer or fishing. Is there a game along the same lines of the Cabela's games only compatible with a gun controller? Thanks!Is there a PS2 hunting themed game that uses a GUN controller?

Why has no one made a decent hunting game?
I've been playing 'The Hunter' recently (www.thehunter.com). Its a good game but the membership is like 拢40 a year and its online, not developed by an established dev team etc etc. Why has no one thought to make a decent open world hunting game, it seems like such an obvious theme for a game. I think there is a hunting simulator you can buy for pc but its terrible. anyone have any ideas on why there exists 'Bus simulator' but not a good hunting game?Why has no one made a decent hunting game?

i would have to agree and say the rapala game, it has very good graphics and is more of a real life type fishing than a simulation type, fish look realistic, and there is a little bit of a challenge landing the big ones.What is The best xbox 360 fishing or Hunting Game?

I have a friend that played the Rapala fishing game for 360, he said it was good. If there is a Deer Hunter game for 360, that's probably a safe bet. Cabelas Big Game Hunter has never disappointed me either, and I think they just made a new one for 360 too.

What kind of birds? Pheasants, quail and such will be buried in the thickest weeds and cattails trying to stay warm. Ducks and geese fly more because they get cold sitting on the water. Turkeys don't seem to care one way or the other, but the wind and rain make it possible for you to get away with a little more movement and noise. As with any game animal, you need to understand why they do what they do when they do it if you are going to try to predict how they will react to certain things (like weather).

Don't sit down wind of the game. They will smell you long before you ever see them. Use the wind to blow your scent away from the animal.
The rule of thumb is that if it is windy and rainy, pour another cup of coffee and kick back because the hunting that day is gong to suck and you will spend the day wet and cold as a bonus. Windy days means bad hunting for all game and rain screws up bird hunting with or without the wind.

If it is really small you need a shot gun or a .22.
If it's realy big you need a shot gun that shoots slugs or a centerfire rifle.
If you think your are going to be shooting more than 100 yards you need a centerfire rifle.

For Whitetail deer the minimum caliber is the .243 Winchester. The .25-06 Remington, .270 Winchester, 308 Winchester or .30-06 Springfield are even better. If you are recoil-sensitive I'd pick one of the first three. The last two have a bit more recoil.

Some good guns are these: .22, .243, .270, .284 or 7mm, 30-30 and 30-06. these will take down every thing from a squirrel, to an elk. Good luck. I prefer small game hunting.
